It was making a noise...

Car problems... no fun at all! I took my car in the other day, Monday to be exact, and got it back today. Our Visa card is a little more used than it was a few days ago (to the tune of over $1,200). Sigh. It turns out that our power steering pump and the rack and pinions(sp?) needed replacing. Also, of course, since you have the power steering 'fixed' you need to have your car aligned! They don't do alignments at our auto shop. They had to take it to another place and have that done. Wouldn't you know that when it was taken there something else was loose so they had to take it back to our shop, fix that, then go back (the following day) and have it aligned! I now have my car back, thank heavens.

Oh! But that is not the 'end' of the story! We still have another $1,000+ of work to have done on it. Yikes! Those individual items will be taken care of in the months to come. At least it's less expensive than a new car!

Amazing what a little noise can cost you...
