i love my husband.
in our home valentines day isn't really 'celebrated'...
i decorate, but that is as far as it goes.
my husband loves me; i know this.
he simply doesn't want anyone
to mandate to him to show it.
i accept that, because i love who he is,
all year round.

while others receive gifts of romantic cards,
bouquets of roses
candy, diamonds, or an evening out
to celebrate the "love holiday"
we spend a quiet night in,
or tend to whatever needs to be tended to.
and it isn't that he isn't romantic, he is.
he just doesn't want anyone telling him to be.
so, throughout the year he will spontaneously
bring me flowers, or call and take me out to dinner,
or we will go on a walk.
he likes to spend time with me,
we like to spend time together.

so i hope all of you continue to enjoy valentine's day
with your mister's
because love is wonderful!
ENJOY! :)

at least he's consistent and makes a conscious effort not to celebrate the holiday instead of just forgetting about it and you. :)
