My post title should read "yard improvements" but I opted for the 'home' instead, since it is part of our home, right? This post will mostly be pictures, since most of our family hasn't seen the changes we made to our yard. Well, Steve, our landscaper made them, with our approval, and our cash. :)

This is the front of our home. We have a new crape myrtle tree (white), a few new pine-type trees, some flowers that I cannot remember the name of at this moment, and bushes that we already had. Behind the post is an iron plant, which is called that because it is really sturdy and grows well.

 This is the front side of our yard.

When it all grows up I think it will be quite pretty.

We have two new crape myrtle trees planted there.

I think they will be pink.

 Here is the back view of our home.

We had a mow strip put in as well.

This is a big deal for us, since we've been wanting to do it for nine years.

 Here is the other side of our back yard.

This just shows the mow strip, our potted herbs,

rose bush and soon to be box garden.

 Finally, the other direction of the side back yard.

We have two new trees - maple! 

I think they will be a lovely addition.

Once the foliage comes in I'll take pictures again.

That way you can get the full effect.

Our cat, Missy,

thinks the mow strip is her personal sidewalk. :)
