PROGRESS!!!!

We are making progress in our backyard! I thought some of you might enjoy taking a gander through the eyes of the lens on my camera... If you go back several posts you will be reminded of what our backyard looked like and then you can see the progress we've made! It's amazing! So, here is your tour of the process (besides what was in the past post)...

First of all they delivered the bricks on this flat bed. The cool thing is that he picked the bricks up with that little loader in the back!

Here is the first load going in our driveway...

Another view of the loader... I don't know why I am intrigued with these kinds of things, but I am! It's way cool!

Finally, four pallets of bricks on our driveway!

Time passes by, and due to unforseen circumstances, hot weather, and others not being available to assist us, not much gets done. So, we wait patiently, until Brad and Amy are here. Brad helped along with Anthony to get some of the paver stones relaid, and to add some more. (Sorry we didn't get a picture of Brad helping, I think I was busy with Amy, but he still gets significant recognition for his help!)

Pat and Anthony on the next to final stage of laying the paver stones (we still have the trash can area left to do... but one thing at a time!) Anthony is like 6'6" so stooping over for him is not an easy thing!
These are just some pics I took while they were out there working... my part is easy, I take the pics and stay in where it is cool! How lucky am I?
By this time Anthony had to go home for dinner and an activity he and Erika had that night. Pat determined to finish up to the shed did the rest by himself. He was quite sore the following day... as was Anthony!

FINALLY!!! The sod is ordered and Pat brings it home! Pat lays some sod... TA DA!!! Young Men's Service Project at the Dell's house!
Anthony --- this became his own source of pride and he made sure the YM did what they needed to do! Did I mention how much we love Anthony? He is great!
Bob Chezik - carrying sod and loving it!
The keepers of the trailer sod! The Bramell, Ridgewell and Friggel boys. Good job guys!
Working hard... Devon, I was so happy to see him! He is the strongest of them all!

All the young men working together - not a complaint among them!

When they were finished we gave them all root beer floats. They went through over a gallon of vanilla ice cream and 6 liters of root beer! I was just happy they were happy! Thanks guys!

Here is a little video I took of the backyard and the progress we've made... enjoy!
