Sweet and Sour Chicken

Many years ago, when my kids were little, I happened upon this recipe in "The Friend" magazine. It has been a family favorite since then. We had it for dinner tonight so I thought I'd share... enjoy! ;)

Sweet and Sour Chicken
6 chicken breasts or thighs
¾ cup sugar
4 T catsup
½ c. vinegar
1 T. soy sauce
½ t. garlic powder

Dip chicken into beaten egg, then cornstarch. Place in pan with a little oil, brown. Put browned chicken on foil-lined and sprayed cookie sheet. Cover with sauce. Bake at 325 degrees for an hour, turning chicken every 15 minutes. Serve with rice and veggies!

If you use chicken tenders you turn the chicken every 5 minutes for a total of 20 minutes - so quick and easy!
